In business since 1973, the Chicago Opera Theater prides itself on producing powerful, thought-provoking works while providing mentorship for emerging composers, and developing new works.

As rehearsals and performances take place downtown, Manilow Suites has been fortunate enough to have hosted performers, writers, directors, and even costume specialists. Among the rave reviews, we hear guests were particularly fond of North Harbor Tower’s spacious gym facilities and indoor pool.

We are incredibly proud to continue our partnership with such a fine local powerhouse! The company is especially impressive and unique in the world of opera as their Vanguard Initiative, dedicated to the future of opera by mentoring new artists, commissioning new works and ensuring audiences have access to more recent compositions.

The announcement of their 2018/19 season features classic (Tchaikovsy’s Iolanta), and contemporary (The Scarlet Ibis) works sure to stimulate, enlighten, and of course entertain.
