What ownership means to us

You may have noticed it all over our website- at Manilow Suites it is very important to us that we own all of our furniture and furnishings. We buy everything for our apartments, from the large items like our king beds and flatscreen TVs down to our hand towels and flatware. It’s a lot of work and it costs more, but we strongly feel our guests are more comfortable when they are in an apartment that is designed and furnished to the max, according to that apartment’s exact size and layout, instead of with a standard package from a rental company.

What does that mean for you? More included items like desks and side tables, and extra kitchen appliances like rice cookers. If you need an extra table or chair, you can call us and we can drop it off for you.

But styles change and the most comfortable and trendy couch of today gets worn and (let’s be honest!) a little sad within a few years. So what happens to our furniture as we cycle it out for newer items?

We donate!

We are proud to donate our used (but well maintained) furniture and furnishings to the Salvation Army. We hope that the items that are no longer a “luxury” for our guests can still be useful to those who need them urgently.
